51 diwali recipes – diwali sweets recipes, diwali snacks recipes.

diwali or deepavali is the most celebrated festival of india and it carries a message which is applicable to everyone despite of their background, culture, religion or belief.

diwali signifies the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and truth over falsities. i hope this festival of lights brings wisdom, truth, prosperity and peace in your life.

with this post, i wish all my readers a happy and joyous diwali festival.  i also wish abundance in health, wealth and happiness to all of you. play and be safe this diwali.

i have made a list of the diwali recipes which are a favorite with the readers of veg recipes of india and will be a hit in your homes for the diwali festival.

there are no set recipes for diwali except for the sweets and snacks that are usually made or brought ready made. so i am giving a list of recipes that are usually made during festivals or celebrations like diwali, christmas, id and other festivals.

have classified them into the typical diwali sweets and snacks which we make (there are not many on the blog) and some lunch/dinner menu recipes.

i will be posting some more recipes that are not your typical diwali snacks and sweets, but recipes that are made during celebration and festive occasions. by the way, this year diwali is on 3rd nov, 2013 and i have already shared compiled list of 40 diwali sweets recipes and 75 diwali snacks recipes.

some of these recipes can be easily made vegan by substituting with soy milk, cashew milk, almond milk or cashew yogurt or peanut yogurt.

dear dasana, happy dewali. for last three months i was about to write you but could not . as i am free enough now i have to thank you from the core of my heart. i love idli, my 6 year daughter is just crazy about, my hubby also loves . i used to steam idli, but was not up to the mark. so most of the time i had to use idli -mix. but dear, the day i explore your sight and followed your method of prepaering idli ., oh, i just can’t express how much confidence have i got. now my idlies are great. beside , i also prepare sama chawal- idli which are great in taste and texture. soon i will try oat-idli. thanks again. take care and keep it up. Best wishes and regards.
