INGREDIENTS FOR kaju anjeer milkshake

(1 CUP = 250 ML)
  • 10 to 12 figs (anjeer)
  • 12 to 15 cashews (kaju)
  • 2.5 cups chilled milk
  • 1 to 2 teaspoon raw sugar or jaggery, optional

HOW TO MAKE kaju anjeer milkshake

  • rinse and then soak 10 to 12 figs and 12 to 15 cashews for about 2 to 3 hours. soaking softens the figs and they are easy to blend. before blending, check the softness of figs. if they are not softened enough, then you will need to soak for some more time.
  • take soaked figs & cashews in a blender or grinder. you can also chop the soaked figs and add. pour 1/2 cup chilled milk.
  • first blend to a smooth puree. coarse bits of figs are fine, if you want the chewy texture of figs. or else just blend till smooth.
  • add the remaining milk and blend again well. check the capacity of your blender jar and add milk accordingly. if the jar is small, then mix the figs-cashews puree and the remaining milk in a bowl or pan. this is a slightly thick milkshake. for a slightly thin version, you can add more milk.
  • if the sweetness is less, you can add 1 to 2 teaspoon of raw sugar or jaggery or skip these.
  • pour kaju anjeer milkshake in glasses and serve.
