cheese stuffed bread pakora recipe with step by step photos – bread pakodas is another interesting snack that goes well in the rains. its my hubby’s favorite snack and my folks love it. though, popularly white bread is used for making bread pakoras, however brown bread or whole wheat bread can also be used and is more healthy.

cheese bread pakora recipe

in mumbai, the bread pakora is made from pav which is stuffed with a potato filling, coated with gram flour batter (besan batter) and deep fried. it is served with green chutney and dry red chutney made from onion, garlic and red chillies.

i have already shared the recipe of break pakora, plain bread pakoda and bread roll.

one can experiment with the filling inside the bread. you can use a filling of paneer – cottage cheese, potato, grated cheese, peas or combination of your favorite veggies.

here I have used grated cheese as a stuffing for the bread. you can also use the bread as it is without any filling. you can also have the combination of potatoes and cheese as the stuffing. in this case, you could also use cheese slices instead of grated cheese. you could also add some chopped green chilies and coriander leaves to the cheese to spice it up more.

few tips for cheesy bread pakoda

  • adding a few drops of oil to the batter ensures that the bread does not absorb more oil for frying. it also makes the pakoras crisp.
  • the oil should not be too hot nor too cold while frying. if it is not enough hot, the pakoras will absorb more oil than required. if very hot, then the pakoras will get burnt or cooked on the outside but not inside.
  • after frying drain the bread pakoras on paper tissue to remove excess oil.
