One bowl 3 ingredient mango ice cream with video and step by step pics. A summer treat and simply delicious is this easy to prepare ice cream made with condensed milk.
This is a three-ingredient recipe – mangoes, cream and sweetened condensed milk.
Mangoes have made their presence felt in my part of the world. So sharing the first mango recipe for this year. I have already posted around 33 Mango recipes on blog like:
This one bowl 3 ingredient mango ice cream does not use any sugar as the sweetness from condensed milk is enough. But you can always add some sugar if needed. Also, the alphonso mangoes I used were sweet.
If the mangoes are not sweet, then you can add some sugar. You can even use readymade mango pulp, but fresh mango pulp tastes better.
I have used alphonso mangoes but you can even use other varieties of mangoes. But mangoes should not be very fibrous.
There is another version of Mango ice cream post on the blog which is again an easy recipe.
How to make one bowl 3 ingredient mango ice cream
1. Rinse and then wipe dry 3 medium-sized alphonso mangoes (560 grams). You can even use other varieties of mangoes.
2. Then chop the mangoes. For the video, I cut the mangoes by slicing the two sides and then slicing the mango flesh as shown in the video above. But be careful when doing this way and keep the mangoes on a chopping board and then slice. Do not keep in your hands and slice. You can choose the regular method of slicing mangoes by first peeling it and then chopping.
3. Then add the chopped mangoes in a blender jar or a bullet mixer.
4. Also add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (400 grams). I have used amul miThai mate. You can also use milkmaid.
5. Blend till smooth and keep aside.
6. Do make sure that there is no small piece of mangoes in this mixture.
7. In another large bowl, take 3.5 cups chilled cream (25 to 35% fat). You can even use heavy whipping cream. I have used amul fresh cream. With an electric beater, begin to whip the cream.
8. Whip till you get stiff peaks on medium-high to high speed. Do not overdo as the cream can curdle. Amul cream takes more time to whip, so take an average of 7 to 9 minutes for whipping it, till you get stiff peaks. Do make sure that the cream is chilled. In fact you can even keep the bowl in the refrigerator for a few hours.
9. Then add the mango+condensed milk mixture. you can even add ½ teaspoon vanilla extract at this step.
10. On a low speed, using the electric blender, whip till everything is mixed well and the mixture is homogeneous.
11. Level with a spatula.
12. Cover the bowl with a tight lid or seal tightly with aluminium foil or cling wrap. Freeze for 6 to 7 hours or overnight. For a more softer texture, after the ice cream is half set, you can remove it from the bowl and then whip again.
13. Pic below of ice cream after being set.
14. Before serving, keep the ice cream bowl at room temperature for some minutes or till you can easily scoop it out. With an ice cream scoop, remove the ice cream.
15. Serve one bowl 3 ingredient mango ice cream in ice cream cups. You can decorate the ice cream with cherries, tutti frutti, chocolate shavings, chopped mango cubes or chocolate sauce. You can even add this ice cream to desserts like falooda.

Thank you so much for such a humble and prompt response. I appreciate you even more now????. Will definitely try it tomorrow.
May you always stay blessed, happy and healthy.
thank you much mamta for your kind wishes. wish you all the best.
hi… I have tried this icecream..its soft and fluffy..but what happened is it became bit more sweet.. Can I add milk to lower its sweetness..Am afraid the crystals will be formed. Plz help !
sweetness depends on the sweetness of mangoes. so in this case less condensed milk can be added. i hope you mixed the ice cream mixture well. if not, then what you are tasting is the condensed milk which is very sweet. if mixed well, then too much of sweetness is not felt. you can add some milk. 3 to 4 tablespoons. don’t add too much as then ice crystals will form. also you can add 2 to 3 tablespoons cream instead of milk. no need to whip it, just add directly.
Hi Dassana,
This is Mamta here and I am a Marwari. We do use onions and garlic moderately but eggs and other non-veg food is a complete no-no. When I first came across ur site I was so relieved that lately a website with vegetarian recipes has evolved.
I won’t say that I am a big fan of urs because u may be having fans more bigger than me. But, I must admit I really admire the way u present a recipe and that too with most of the ingredients which are easily available at our homes. Perfect flavours in all the cuisine… When it comes to ur recepies I have a blind faith they are fool proof. Whenever I am in a fix, ur website comes to my rescue and wen I prepare your recipe somewhere within I have a confidence that it will come out good. Loads of love and thanx to u for being a savior at times.
I have a question Dassana. Can we use Rich’s non dairy whipping cream (used for decorating cakes) instead of full cream? Or can we use both of them in a 50-50 proportion?
Please reply ASAP coz my 6 year old daughter is eating up my head for an ice cream
thank you mamta for this lovely comment. initially, there were very few vegetarian websites, but now lately there are thousands of them. but what really matters is the recipe – in terms of taste and flavor. the recipes should be good. a fan is a fan. it does not matter whether one is small or big ????
yes you can use rich’s non-dairy whipping cream. avoid mixing as the taste and texture might become weird. just use one – either whipping cream or rich’s non-dairy cream.
Hi dassana..can I use a mixer to beat the cream and condensed milk..if I don’t have a beater
nisha, you can use the mixer. but with mixer beat cream in parts and do check the volume and consistency. if should reach soft to stiff peaks. also do not over do as then you can get butter from the cream.
can i use nondairy cream in this recipe
lara, i think you can use coconut cream. it will taste good also. mango and coconut is a good combination.
Hii. I hope you remember me. I have commented after a very long time as I was busy with my exams and studies. So I was strictly told not to enter kitchen and just study. Anyways, I am very fond of ice creams and have tried many of your ice cream recipes. When I made vanilla ice cream everyone at home thought it as amul one. Thanks for that . I will surely try this recipe too when good mangoes are available.
Welcome Kaur Harsimrat. Yes I remember you. Hope you have studied well for exams. All the best for your exams and for the ice cream !!!
