Mango smoothie recipe with step by step pics. Making any smoothie is simple, easy and quick. Mango season is here so sharing a mango smoothie recipe made with curd or yogurt.
Mango smoothie can be compared to Mango lassi. the taste is similar. I have added cinnamon powder for some flavor, but it can be easily skipped. Instead of cinnamon powder you can even add cardamom powder or vanilla extract. You can even make mango smoothie for Navratri fasts. Just skip adding cinnamon powder.
This mango smoothie is filling and can be had between two meals or even for breakfast or brunch.
Use mangoes which are sweet and non-fibrous. i always prefer alphonso or kesar mangoes to make such drinks. If the mangoes are very sweet then you can skip adding any sweetener.
I have used honey as a sweetener. Other better alternatives are unrefined sugar or jaggery or palm jaggery or maple syrup or coconut sugar.
How to make mango smoothie
1. Rinse and peel 2 small to medium alphonso or kesar mangoes. Chop them in small cubes. You will need 1.5 cups chopped alphonso mangoes cubes. Add the chopped mangoes in a blender or mixer jar.
2. Add 1 cup fresh curd. Also add 3 tablespoons honey or add as required. You can even use any other sweetener like unrefined sugar, jaggery, palm jaggery, maple syrup or coconut sugar. Adding any sweetener can also be skipped entirely.
3. Sprinkle ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon powder or 2 to 3 pinches of it. Cinnamon powder can be skipped. You can even add cardamom powder or vanilla extract instead of cinnamon powder.
4. Blend to a smooth consistency.
5. Serve mango smoothie in a tall glass. You can even chill the smoothie for a few hours and then serve later.
