mumbai style cheese chilli toast sandwich recipe

Mumbai street style food is a hit at home. Originally being from Mumbai, we do miss the awesome street food from there. So I do try to make various snacks from Mumbai that have now become delicious memories for us. Already I have shared many Mumbai street food recipes and some more are in the drafts.

These cheese chili toasts are not the regular open toasts. these are basically cheese toast sandwiches which are spiced with green chilies. Green sandwich chutney is also smeared on the bread, which makes the sandwiches more flavorful.

When making Mumbai style sandwiches, I always use amul processed cheese. Though you can even use cheddar cheese or processed cheese from any other brand. I have used chaat masala. You can also use sandwich masala.

A) For preparing green chutney

1. Take ½ cup rinsed & tightly packed coriander leaves, ¼ tsp chaat masala powder, 1 green chili & salt as per taste in a chutney grinder jar.

2. blend all the ingredients to a smooth consistency. No need to add water as there is enough moisture after rinsing the coriander leaves to help them grind to a smooth chutney. But if you cannot grind, then add 1 or 2 teaspoons of water.
