Oreo Milkshake is a thick café-style milkshake made with vanilla ice cream, milk, and whole Oreo cookies. The shake is rich, creamy, and naturally sweet without added sugar. Chocolate syrup and Oreo crumbs are used for garnish to give a classic café look. This recipe works well for both Indian and international kitchens.
Drizzle chocolate syrup inside serving glasses and set aside
Add lightly crushed or broken Oreo cookies, vanilla ice cream, milk, and vanilla extract to a blender.
Blend until thick and smooth, adding a little more milk only if required.
Pour the milkshake in the serving glasses.
Garnish with chocolate syrup, crushed Oreos, or chocolate sprinkles and serve immediately.
Notes
Use real dairy ice cream, not frozen dessert.
Use whole Oreo cookies with cream filling intact.
Do not add sugar, as the ice cream and Oreo cookies are sweet enough. Always taste first before adding the sugar.
For a thinner shake, add 2 to 4 tablespoons more milk.
Blend only until smooth, as over-blending can warm the ice cream and thin the shake.
Chocolate ice cream can be used instead of vanilla for a deeper chocolate flavor, especially with chocolate Oreo cookies. Adjust toppings or syrup based on how rich you want the shake
I have use regular Cadbury Oreo chocolate flavor cream sandwich cookies, though other Oreo flavors can also be used.
