Remove the mint leaves from the stems. Rinse in water for a couple of times. Drain all the water.
Add all the rinsed mint leaves, jaggery or sugar, salt, cumin powder, lemon juice and water in a blender and blend to a smooth and fine paste.
Strain the juice mixture.
Take ¼ amount of the strained mint juice in a glass. Add ¾ amount of water. Mix well.
Add a few ice cubes and serve the Mint Juice cold.
Notes
Use fresh and tender mint leaves. Try not to use the stems as they can make the juice taste bitter.
Adjust the amount of jaggery or your preferred sweetener, lemon juice and salt according to your preferences.
Any fruit or herb juice is best served as soon as it is made. So is the case with this mint juice. If there are any leftovers then refrigerate for a few hours only.
Scale the recipe to make more quantities of the mint juice.
