For veg balls, take finely chopped or grated vegetables in a bowl. To know the list, swipe up!

Add cornstarch, all-purpose flour, black pepper powder and salt to the vegetables.

Take small portion of the mixture in your hands.

Press and roll it in your palm to make a round veg ball. Spread some oil on your palms before doing this.

Make all veg balls in the similar way and keep aside.

Heat sufficient oil for in a pan for deep frying. To know more, swipe up!

When cooked from one side, turn the veg balls with a slotted spoon.

Fry the veg balls till crisp and golden, turning them over a couple of times. To know more, swipe up!

Place the fried veg balls on kitchen paper towel to absorb excess oil.

For the sauce, take soy sauce, tomato ketchup and spicy red chili sauce in a bowl.

Mix the sauces well and keep aside.

In another bowl, mix together cornstarch and water. Keep aside.

Heat sesame oil in a wok. Add chopped spring onions, finely chopped ginger, garlic, green chilies and capsicum.

Stir fry on medium heat till onions turn translucent.

Add the mixed sauce mixture.

Stir to mix the sauces well.

Pour in water.

Let the mixture come to a boil.

Stir the cornstarch mixture in the bowl and add in the wok.

After adding the cornstarch mixture, quickly stir so that there are no lumps.

Continue to stir and simmer till the manchurian gravy thickens and you see a glaze on it. To know more, swipe up!

When the gravy is thickening, add black pepper powder.

Season with a bit of salt.

Add sugar and mix well.

Add the fried veg balls and rice vinegar, regular vinegar or apple cider vinegar.

Gently stir and coat the veg balls with the gravy.

Switch off the heat and add chopped spring onion greens.
