Heat ghee in a heavy kadai or pan. Add cloves and fry for 2 to 3 seconds.

Roast on medium heat till seviyan turns golden brown.

Simmer on low to medium-low heat. Stir occasionally so that the milk or seviyan does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
Once the milk comes to a boil, add sugar and mix well so that it dissolves.
Next, add saffron strands and stir to mix.
Now, add sliced almonds and chopped cashews. Mix well.
Add cardamom powder and mix well.
Then, add dried rose petals and mix well.
