Pistachio Ice Cream

Add pistachios to a food chopper, processor or grinder.

Grind the nuts into a semi-fine powder.

Remove the powdered nuts from the food processor and keep aside.

Add some more pistachios in the food processor.

Grind them to small bits or chunks. Do not pulverize. Remove and keep aside.

Now, add whole milk and sugar in a large saucepan.

Whisk well till the sugar dissolves.

Add cold whipping or heavy cream.

Whisk the mixture till it is fully combined.

Add coarsely ground pistachios.

Add a few drops of natural green food color. This is optional.

Save some chopped pistachios for topping and fold in the remaining with a spatula.

You can remove the ice cream and serve directly or transfer it to a box to be served later. To know more, swipe up!

You can freeze the ice cream too for a few hours before scooping and serving.
