Paneer Tikka Masala

Add ginger-garlic paste, spice powders, cornstarch, gram flour and salt. For the list of spice powders, swipe up!

Add lemon juice.

Mix everything very well.

Add paneer cubes, capsicum cubes and onions, layers separated.

Gently mix again, so that the marinade coats the paneer, onion and capsicum evenly. To know more, swipe up!

Thread the paneer cubes and vegetables on bamboo or metal skewers. Brush evenly with oil. To know more, swipe up!

Grill the skewered paneer and veggies in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C (390 degrees F) for 15 to 20 minutes (depending on oven temperatures).

For the gravy, blanch onions and tomatoes in boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes. Switch off heat, cover and keep aside.

Later, chop the onions roughly and make a smooth paste, without adding water.

Similarly, peel, roughly chop the tomatoes and make a smooth puree.

Beat fresh curd till smooth. Keep aside.

Next, heat oil in a pan. Add the prepared onion paste.

Sauté till the onion paste turns golden. Stir often.

Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté till the raw aroma of ginger and garlic goes away.

Add tomato puree, stir and sauté till the oil leaves the sides of the masala.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder.

Stir well, so that the spices are incorporated in the masala paste evenly. Then, remove the pan from heat.

Mix well, add water and salt. Then, stir to mix again.

Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes or till the gravy thickens and you see fat floating on the top. To know more, swipe up!
