For the sugar syrup, dissolve sugar, saffron threads, water in a pan and keep it on low to medium-low heat.

Make a smooth flowing batter of gram flour (besan), crushed saffron and water. To know more, swipe up!

Stir the sugar syrup at intervals.

Cook the sugar syrup till you get one thread consistency in it. To know more, swipe up!

For making boondi, heat oil for deep frying in a kadai. To know more, swipe up!

Take a large spoon of the batter and pour it on perforated ladle. Press with other spoon so that the batter falls through the perforations into the hot oil.

Fry boondi (gram flour balls) till golden. To know more, swipe up!

For collecting the fried boondi, use a large slotted spoon (jhara). To know more, swipe up!

Keep adding boondi immediately to the sugar syrup. Stir and mix well. The boondi should get softened in the sugar syrup.

Add all the boondi mixed with sugar syrup along with some hot water in a blender or mixer. Pulse the boondi mixture a few times. To know more, swipe up!

Add melon seeds (magaz) and black cardamom seeds. Mix well.

Apply some oil or ghee on your palms and shape the ladoos.
