Add water to the sugar.
Keep the pan on stovetop on a medium-low to medium heat.
Stir the solution so that the sugar dissolves.
Begin to heat the sugar solution till it comes to a boil.
Heat a heavy thick bottomed pan and add ghee in it.
Let the ghee melt completely.
Add whole wheat flour to the melted ghee.
Stir the flour well into the ghee.
Mix the whole wheat flour and fry on low to medium-low heat.
Mix very well to get a mixture without lumps.
Meanwhile, the sugar solution will also come to a boil. Once it boils, switch off the heat. To know more, swipe up!
On low heat, fry the whole wheat flour in ghee. Stir non-stop.
The whole wheat flour will turn into a dark golden color and will have a nutty fragrance. To know more, swipe up!
When the flour turns to a dark golden color, add one part of the sugar solution. To know more, swipe up!
Stir well to mix.
Next, add the second part of the hot sugar solution.
Mix and cook the kada prashad, stirring non-stop.
The mixture will thicken as it gets cooked and ghee will also be released from the sides.
Continue to stir non-stop and cook till the mixture becomes one mass and leaves the sides of the pan.
When the kada prashad has a thick pudding like consistency, switch off the heat. To know more, swipe up!
