Cheese Sandwich

Slice the bread loaf into ½ inch slices.

Spread softened butter on bread slices.

Top half the bread slices with grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese, or a mix of both.

Sprinkle dried herbs, red chili flakes and crushed black pepper on top.

Top with chopped fresh basil, finely chopped celery and sprinkle some salt.

Cover the cheese topped bread with remaining buttered slices.

Spread some butter in a skillet on low to medium-low heat. Place the cheese sandwich on it.

Spread some more softened butter on top of the bread.

Gently press the sandwich with a spatula to get an evenly toasted and crispy texture.

When the bottom turns golden and crusty, flip the sandwich with a spatula.

Transfer the cheese sandwich on a chopping board.

Cut into halves and serve with green chutney or ketchup. To know how to make in a panini press, swipe up!
