Apple Crumble

Peel, chop apples into cubes and place in a mixing bowl. Add sugar, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and lemon juice.

Sprinkle whole wheat flour on top.

Mix everything well and keep aside.

Grease a baking tray or pan with some butter and keep aside.

For streusel stuffing, add cold butter cubes, castor sugar and vanilla extract in another mixing bowl.

Add whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt.

With a pastry cutter, cut the butter in the flour till you get a breadcrumb like texture in the flour. To know more, swipe up!

The texture of the streusel stuffing should be like breadcrumbs.

Begin layering: First, spread the apple mixture neatly in the greased pan. To know more, swipe up!

Sprinkle the streusel stuffing all over the apple mixture.

Sprinkle in such a way that you get an even layer of the streusel stuffing on the apple mixture.

Place the pan in the preheated oven.

Bake at 180 degrees C or 356 degrees F for 40 minutes or till golden on top.
