121 Diwali special recipes
Diwali or Deepavali is the most celebrated festival of India and it carries a message which is applicable to everyone despite of their background, culture, religion or belief.
Diwali signifies the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and truth over falsities. I hope this festival of lights brings wisdom, truth, prosperity and peace in your life.
This year Diwali is on 14th November, 2020. With this post, I wish all my readers a happy and joyous Diwali festival. Â i also wish abundance in health, wealth and happiness to all of you. Play and be safe this Diwali.
I have made a list of the Diwali recipes which are a favorite with the readers of veg recipes of India and will be a hit in your homes for the Diwali festival.
There are no set recipes for Diwali except for the sweets and snacks that are usually made or brought ready made. So I am giving a list of recipes that are usually made during festivals or celebrations like Diwali, Christmas, Id and other festivals.
Have classified them into the Typical Diwali sweets and snacks which we make and some lunch/dinner menu recipes.
I will be posting some more recipes that are not your typical Diwali snacks and sweets, but recipes that are made during the celebration and festive occasions.

Some of these Diwali recipes can be easily made vegan by substituting with soy milk, cashew milk, Almond milk or Cashew yogurt or peanut yogurt.

thanks and welcome geeta. would not suggest to freeze korma. you can refrigerate and consume in one or two days. you can freeze paneer. just place the paneer in a closed box and keep in the freezer.

I like all ur recipes in pallette of spices. I have made this apple halwa today , it was dangerously good. I have made your doi mach and masla koi, they were fantastic. This recipes are very easy, less time taking, tasty and above all effortless.
Here I’m planning to make dum biriyani, dry fruits ladoo, sukhi arbi, tandoori aloo and lot more.my next target is eggplant keema in non veg.

If I don’t remember or have confusion about the use of ingredients i, I always search in your blog for those recipes. Those beautiful photos and simple way of explaining the process, on many occasions tempted and I cooked those recipes instantly !!!
Suggestion : You could bring some Indian states vegetarian recipes in this blog.

would not suggest to freeze leftover korma. just keep the paneer in a an airtight box or container and then keep in the freezer.

dear dasana, happy dewali. for last three months i was about to write you but could not . as i am free enough now i have to thank you from the core of my heart. i love idli, my 6 year daughter is just crazy about, my hubby also loves . i used to steam idli, but was not up to the mark. so most of the time i had to use idli -mix. but dear, the day i explore your sight and followed your method of prepaering idli ., oh, i just can’t express how much confidence have i got. now my idlies are great. beside , i also prepare sama chawal- idli which are great in taste and texture. soon i will try oat-idli. thanks again. take care and keep it up.
