when not fasting, then you can still make these lightly spiced patties, substituting corn starch or rice flour for binding the tikkis. we had the tikkis with mint-coriander chutney and sweet tamarind dates chutney along with raita made from cashew yogurt.

other tikki recipes which you can consider making during fasting are sabudana tikki and sweet potato tikki.

  1. Yumm! Is there a substitute for the water chestnut flour dassana? Can I use cornflour at all?

    • rajani, this recipe was meant for fasting. thats why i used water chestnut flour/singhare ka atta. otherwise for normal days you can use cornflour.

  2. The arbi tikki is just yummmmy and mouth-watering. Its a very good snack to cherish during Ramadan.4 stars
