Mumbai is a culinary delight for any traveler. As there are myriad of cuisines in India, similarly Mumbai has a delightful variety of food. Some of the recipes have originated in Mumbai itself like pav bhaji, vada pav, ragda pattice, bhel puri, sev puri, various veg pakoras, mumbai toast sandwich, omlette pav, bhurji pav, misal pav etc.
Many of these mumbai street food items you won’t get in north or south india. e.g. the dabeli recipe which is a spicy, tangy and sweet potato filling inside a bun. Dabeli recipe basically originated in kutch and is easily available in mumbai and gujarat only. If you ask a north indian about dabeli recipe then most probably he won’t have heard about it.
