green mango chutney: green mango chutney sour, sour mango chutney recipe

this recipe of green mango chutney is my mom’s and we usually have this mango chutney with dal-rice or with rice kanji/pej (savory rice porridge).

i am little late in posting this chutney recipe as the mangoes have got over or getting over. the post was again in the drafts from a long time.

since the mangoes are raw, so this chutney is a sour one much unlike the sweet mango chutney recipe i had posted earlier.

i had kept some raw mangoes in the fridge before leaving for coimbatore. when we came back i checked the mangoes and they were not spoilt at all. so i made chutney with a few of these raw mangoes.

the ingredients for mango chutney recipe are easily available in the kitchen. if you do not have fresh coconut, use dessicated coconut like i have done.

you might also love to check these chutney recipes:

  1. garlic chives chutney
  2. mint coriander chutney
  3. sesame coconut chutney

I like this mango chutney. The picture makes my mouth water. And sad to think we have to wait another year for the fruit!
